Make It Last is focused on environmentalism in fashion. We highlight environmental concerns caused by fast fashion as well as businesses working hard to combat waste in the fashion industry. Make It Last promotes mending as an accessible, affordable way to extend the life of personal clothing, thereby reducing fashion consumption.
Make It Last is written and run by Elise Mountsier, a recent graduate of UCSB in English and Writing. Elise is passionate about sewing and mending as a means to reduce her personal impact on the planet. This site was originally conceived as a multimodal advocation project for Dr. Dan Frank's Multimedia Writing course.
